    A DAY IN THE LIFE!

    Managing the safety lane, you will inspect trucks, trailers, and loaded freight for non-critical and critical issues. You will identify and address non-critical issues in the safety lane. Upon identifying a critical issue, you will out-of-service the unit and have it taken into the shop.

    YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the safety lane by efficiently inspecting trucks, trailers, and freight for non-critical and critical issues.
    • Address non-critical issues with heavy equipment such as low fluids, non-functional light bulbs, missing inventory, and more directly in the safety lane.
    • Identify critical issues such as major repair needs and shifted freight, and out-of-service equipment to be repaired in the shop as needed.
    • Ensure that all inspections and repairs completed along with all parts used are documented within the maintenance software.

    YOUR SKILLSET

    • Proven experience in a position that required high attention to detail.
    • Comfortability learning maintenance software for use in the completion of repair orders.
    • Phenomenal communication and customer service skills.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Valid driver's license.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior experience in inspections, load securement, or maintenance repairs.

    SALARY AND SCHEDULE

    • Salary: $18+ per hour, decided based on experience.
    • Schedule: Full-time on-site; Monday – Friday, Weekend and afternoon shifts available (weekend shift includes shift differential); Overtime eligible.
