    Job Description

    As an E-commerce Business Analyst you will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making across EBG’s diverse e-commerce verticals and platforms. You’ll partner closely with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Product, Partner Development, and Operations to uncover critical insights and trends that directly contribute to revenue growth and customer experience.

    THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE THAT REQUIRES TUE & THU IN OFFICE. NEW YORK, NEW YORK location.

    In this role you will:

    • Provide strategic analysis including identifying key trends, anomalies, and opportunities within our marketplace, with a holistic view of the customer journey from acquisition to conversion to retention.
    • Analyze the revenue per user and transactional profitability, monitoring key metrics such as Return on Investment (ROI), Customer Lifetime Value (LTV), and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).
    • Analyze the profitability and performance of various affiliate partners and distribution channels to optimize investment and strategy.
    • Collaborate with our analytics team to build and maintain robust dashboards, reports, and models that track key performance indicators (KPIs) and overall business health.
    • Work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to define critical metrics, conduct root cause analyses, and recommend actionable strategic initiatives.
    • Provide data insights to support and optimize pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies.
    • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to inform and refine our overarching business strategies.
    • Partner with product teams to assess the impact and effectiveness of new features and product enhancements.
    • Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and broader business planning processes.
    • Present complex findings and strategic recommendations clearly and concisely to senior leadership.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus
    • 5+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical role within consulting, e-commerce or digital marketplace environment
    • Ability to build financial models and business cases leveraging complex datasets and inputs.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel required) and in leveraging data visualization platforms to create financial models and detailed analysis (e.g., Tableau, Adobe Analytics, ThoughtSpot, or similar)
    • Familiarity with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
    • Exceptional analytical acumen including problem-solving skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
    • E-commerce Expertise including a **** strong understanding of marketplace dynamics and multi-vertical business models ideally in travel or consumer product categories
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
    • Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
