E8 Engineering is seeking a Jr. Quality Engineer who will work under the supervision of an IPC-620 Certified Sr. Quality Engineer who is also a certified IPC-620 Trainer. This is a terrific opportunity for someone who wants to be mentored and trained by one of the best in the field. This is an entry-level, contract position. No benefits are offered. The JQE assures manufactured products meet all in-house and customer requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee quality performance by understanding in-house capabilities relative to requirements Create and evaluate manufacturing work instructions and/or inspection plans Perform inspections of various types including mechanical, electronic, structural, machined parts, tooling, digital data, processes, functional test, non-destructive testing and inspection First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9100 Product / Process Evaluations Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) Manages and analyzes data, create trend charts and metrics in Excel or other software Understands and proactively communicates any potential risk caused by quality issues Desired Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Excellent and proven problem-solving skills Strong technical aptitude (ability to quickly learn mechanical and electrical assembly and manufacturing documentation) Technical education or equivalent hands-on experience Excellent attention to detail and the ability to closely follow prescribed work instructions Prior quality experience in aerospace, medical device or an equivalent industry Pleasant and confident demeanor when dealing with colleagues and clients Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English Microsoft Office savvy Willingness and eagerness to learn Punctuality A great attitude and perseverance Lean, six sigma, knowledge a plus IPC-620 certification or working knowledge a plus Work Authorization Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
