This is an entry-level, long-term, contract position. No benefits are offered Basic Qualifications: Reliable, hardworking, and great attitude Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, ability to communicate written and verbal Familiarity with basic electrical components and terminology: wire, terminal, connector, strip, crimp, bundling, solder etc. Ability to read drawings and schematics Basic mechanical measurement and inspection Preferred qualifications: Associates degree or higher in a technical discipline IPC-620 training or certification 1-2 years of hands-on experience building wire harnesses (even in a hobby environment like automotive, gaming, etc.) Experience writing basic assembly instructions Job duties: Reviewing customer drawings and schematics, and then building, and documenting, the first article, or first piece, of new wire harness assemblies. Ensuring production assemblers have the proper training and know-how to build them thereafter. Working with senior engineers to define the manufacturing methods needed to produce compliant, reliable wire harness assemblies.
