We are seeking educators enthusiastic about helping our students discover their individual potential through academic learning and the meaningful exploration of the world around them.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• We are looking for a lead teacher to work M-F from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.
• Candidate will work with 3–5-year-old students and be responsible for creating lesson plans that support a play-based, developmentally appropriate, child-centered program for young children.
• Lesson plans will reflect the established curriculum which reflects both Jewish and secular content.
• Enrichment curriculum is presented on T/Th afternoons and activities are based on a planned curriculum and include lunch, music, art, fitness, language arts development, Hebrew, and creative movement. Examples of the curriculum include but are not limited to Sign Language, Dinosaurs, Countries and Cultures and Art and Artists
• The program operates within a Jewish framework. Jewish holidays and customs are observed at the ECE and we invite people all of all religious backgrounds to apply.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Applicant should have early childhood teaching experience and must be certified by the State of Pennsylvania. Minimum of bachelor’s degree required.
• Candidate must be willing to learn any information with which they are not familiar.
• Must have up-to-date clearances (child abuse, criminal history, NSOR, and FBI clearance).
• Must have the ability to articulate and demonstrate a clear understanding of our philosophy as it applies to both curriculum and emotional growth.
• Must possess superb child-teacher interactions, strong focus on safety and supervision, and must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must have minimum 2 years experience in a childcare setting (nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed daycare center, preferably in a Keystone Stars Center).
• Must be flexible and able to work Monday - Friday.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

All teachers must meet PA state requirements and must have one of the following:

• BA or BS in ECE and/or related field

COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS

• Candidates must be fully vaccinated and possess proof of COVID-19 vaccination in order to be considered.
  • Candidates must be capable of providing proof of of full vaccination (per CDC guidelines) to be considered.
  • Candidates that are in the process of becoming fully vaccinated are invited to apply but cannot be hired until they are fully vaccinated.
• All precautions recommended by the CDC and required by the PA regulations are being implemented.
