The Lismore Hotel is a beautiful hotel with modern amenities located in the heart of downtown Eau Claire. Here you’ll find rooms with city views, event halls, the Informalist Restaurant, ECDC Coffee Shop, and Dive, our rooftop craft cocktail bar. We are also located just blocks away from some of Eau Claire’s biggest attractions like the Pablo Center, UW Eau Claire, and Phoenix Park. The Lismore Hotel is seeking an organized and outgoing professional to work as a Sales Manager within our internal Sales Team. This role will work closely with the Director of Sales to obtain client business, build room blocks, provide tours, generate a BEO, and meet with our F&B and Banquet teams to ensure the successful execution of the events. Responsibilities: Essential Duties: • Responsible for making sure that shows and events scheduled proceed as planned, including preparation, setup, in-process support/hosting as needed, and post-event removal. • Provide support for live events in all elements of logistics, production, and administrative functions. • May assist with locating an act, show, or organization to hold an event in the facility. • Collaborate with music booker on music events. • Works with meeting planners to understand the events' needs and contract details. • Prepares facility schedules. • Ensures brand standards are communicated and adhered to. • Maintains visibility with Guests and key community contacts to ensure Guest satisfaction and a viable presence in the local community (i.e. joining service groups). • Has regular daily contact with employees and Guests. Has occasional contact with suppliers, sponsors, and vendors. • Communicate event details with the entire staff so they are knowledgeable and can answer questions from Guests when necessary. • Collaborate with management to create regular recurring and special programming, i.e. outdoor annual events and partnerships. • Make time to interact with Guests, solicit feedback, and build relationships. • Completes performance-related paperwork/permits as needed. • Works to follow up on leads, provides updates on catering contracts, and routes the information to all relevant departments. • Works on room blocks with the Front Desk Manager & Revenue Manager to avoid any loss of occupancy. Makes calls to meeting planners to secure all details for their functions. • Creates, types, distributes, and maintains a filing system of sales and marketing correspondence, office records, and reports. • Assists in the preparation of banquet invoices for events. • Responsible for writing and maintaining contracts and other correspondence as specified by the Director of Revenue Management or General Manager. • Ensures proper level of inventory of Sales office supplies and forms. • Greet the meeting planner before the start of the function and ensure that everything is to their satisfaction at this time, would point out information regarding the location of restrooms, lunch plans, etc. Qualifications: Competencies & Skills Required: • Computer: Basic ability to use computer hardware and software (i.g. word processors, desktops, publishing, and graphics). • Organization: Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources. • Planning: Skilled in determining whether tasks should be attempted, identifying the most effective way of completing the task, and preparing how to overcome unexpected difficulties. • Time Management: Skilled in focusing on desired results, determining what is important and urgent, clarifying next steps, and delegating effectively to meet deadlines and achieve desired results. • Research Skills: Utilize a variety of resources to complete a research assignment and be able to summarize and present your findings. • Data Entry: Ability to quickly and accurately enter data on a PC. • Business Communication: Use result-oriented writing techniques and strategies for correspondence (i.e. memos, letters, reports, proposals, etc.) with correct grammar and punctuation. • Project Management: Use tools and processes to identify project goals, set and manage the schedule, anticipate and identify issues, remove obstacles, delineate responsibility, track task completion, and communicate project progress. • Data Entry: Ability to quickly and accurately enter data on a PC. **** Education & Experience Preferred: • High school education or equivalent. • Previous Sales experience is required. • Business or Sales education preferred.
