Position Overview
A growing organization is seeking an experienced EDI & Business Systems Specialist to support, maintain, and enhance critical electronic data interchange (EDI), ERP, warehouse, and business application systems. This individual will play a key role in ensuring seamless transaction processing, system integration, operational efficiency, and end-user support across multiple business platforms.
This is a full-time, onsite position with a collaborative and team-oriented organization.
Key Responsibilities
EDI Operations & Support
- Monitor and support daily EDI transaction activity.
- Troubleshoot transaction failures, delays, and data discrepancies across multiple business systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
- Reprocess transactions and support corrective actions when needed.
Systems Integration & Order Flow Management
- Support integrations between ERP, warehouse, logistics, and customer systems.
- Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies between platforms.
- Ensure accurate processing of orders, shipments, inventory movements, and invoicing activities.
Trading Partner & Integration Support
- Assist with onboarding new customers, vendors, and trading partners.
- Support testing, validation, and implementation of electronic transactions and system integrations.
- Participate in user acceptance testing and production deployments.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Enhance monitoring, reporting, and error-management capabilities.
- Recommend scalable solutions that improve system reliability and business performance.
Vendor & Technology Partner Coordination
- Partner with external technology providers and support vendors.
- Track open issues, escalations, and project deliverables.
- Help ensure timely resolution of infrastructure and application-related concerns.
End-User & Application Support
- Provide Level I/II support for business-critical applications.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, user access, permissions, and collaboration tools.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning and equipment setup.
- Develop and maintain user documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting resources.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field.
- Experience supporting EDI environments and electronic transaction processing.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with ERP or enterprise business systems.
- Ability to analyze system issues and coordinate resolutions across multiple teams.
Preferred
- Experience with EDI platforms, integration tools, or middleware solutions.
- Exposure to warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with retail, manufacturing, or consumer products environments.
- Experience supporting file transfer, API, or system-to-system integrations.
- Knowledge of electronic trading partner onboarding and compliance requirements.
