Job Description

The EDI Consultant will onboard and create maps for new customer trading partners. The successful candidate will possess significant hands-on experience with EDI X12, UCS, VICS and AS2 communications and must have experience onboarding EDI trading partners, writing requirements, and mapping EDI document transactions. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consults with IT staff, operations, management, trading partners / customers to obtain and document requirements
• Maps and tests EDI documents and processes
• Assists with trouble-shooting EDI related processes
• Working with EDI transaction sets such as 204, 210, 214 and 990
• Receives specific guidance with respect to overall objectives and operates within department policy guidelines and employment law, using good judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of EDI experience
• Experience with EDI development, mapping, implementation, and new trading partnership on-boarding
• Experience with EDI mapping tools such as Cleo Clarify
• Knowledge of EDI X12 standards, XML and Flat File document formats
• Knowledge of EDI communications such as FTP, AS2, and VAN
• Development experience with applications such as SQL and Java a plus
• Experience in transportation, logistics, business processes, supply chain management, manufacturing, TMS and WMS a plus.
• Excellent communication skills
