Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION: Responsible for building business relationships with local employers and community-based partners that lead to quality job opportunities for WIOA customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create, generate, and submit job orders, with a focus on those that capitalize on the skills and experience of each jobseeker
- Continually review business opportunities
- Contact employers by phone or in person and attempt to schedule face-to-face meetings
- Perform initial and follow-up client visits as necessary
- Develop and execute a marketing/advertising plan
- Interface with other company departments and employees
- Provide, as required, target estimates or goals and periodic progress reports
- Develop a network for potential business leads
- Represent EDSI/AJC at conferences, meetings and selected social functions as required
- Conduct job task analyses as requested
- Meet performance criteria on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
- Attend Chamber of Commerce events and other external meetings as necessary
- Follow up with EDSI/AJC employees to ensure that client expectations are met
- Enter employer information into all appropriate databases and monitor employer activities
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Marketing and sales experience preferred
- Customer service experience required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Must be comfortable making presentations to large groups of people
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle required
- Able to work fully onsite, fully virtual or in a hybrid environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
