    EECU is looking for a Direct Loan Processor / Funder that will be responsible for a variety of loan processing and funding duties within a fast-paced environment. The Direct Loan Processor / Funder will provide a high level of service to 3rd party vendors and work closely with Direct Underwriters and Direct Loan Services Specialist to ensure timely and accurate funding of loan packets. The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills in order to review all documents, loan stipulations, interest rates, loan terms and Loan-to-Values to ensure original approval is met.

     

    Key responsibilities for the Direct Loan Processor/ Funder is to ensure that contracts are within EECU, Federal and State compliance, not limited to verifying interest rates, terms and advances. Contracts will need to be funded in a timely manner once they meet established guidelines. A daily report will be provided to the Underwriting Manager and Direct Loan Services Supervisor on all funded packets, with a breakdown on any packet that are not funded within the deadline. The Processor / Funder will verify Chex Systems in order to verify OFAC and social security information. Will also open new accounts, wire funds, fund the loans in system and print/mail requires notification forms if the loan does not meet EECU’s underwriting criteria. Responsible for correcting funding errors in a timely and professional manner. Also responsible for verifying lien information on 3rd party vendor loan accounts and provides a monthly lien report to 3rd party vendors. Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg B, Reg Z, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Service Members Civil Relief, and FCRA/FACTA.  Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.

    CANDIDATES FOR EECU SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

    • One year of loan processing experience in finance/credit related industry preferred
    • Must have ability to understand financial contracts and financial terminology
    • Knowledgeable of Federal and State guidelines
    • Strong analytical, mathematical and computer skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal / external members
    • Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word
    • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
