    DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    The Director of Project Management oversees the Project Management department and serves as the high-level client lead for all projects. This person’s primary role is to oversee project management across all jobs, but also assists in the management of active jobs.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the Project Management department, to ensure successful and efficient execution of jobs

    • Assign project managers to jobs, for balanced workloads and appropriate skill sets working on the jobs best suited to them

    • Works with Business Development to properly onboard clients into our system, creating a smooth and seamless launching of jobs

    • Create a standardized framework, process and structure of jobs to meet client needs and ease with the legal and administrative requirements for profitable execution

    • Approves and manages job budgets to increase the accuracy of projected profitability

    • Interfaces with department heads to appropriately allocate tasks for project executions

    • Helps the efficient communication of information to the entire team, facilitating the spread of information and project specific needs

    • Helps track and organize client deliverables

    • Directly interfaces with client to understand deliverable and goals of the project

    • Works with team to identify the right tools for the job

    • Creates effective work tools for coordination and efficient workflow

    • Guides implementation of these tools, across departments

    • Helps to create department scheduling and organizes relevant meetings aligned with project deadlines

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager

    • Experience working in experiential marketing, event production, and creative technology

    • 5 years’ experience building and leading successful PM teams

    • Project Management certification a plus, such as PMI, PMP or PgMP

    • A person who has a good sense of humor, can laugh at themselves, remembers that we're all human, and keeps a good perspective about what's truly important in life

    • A developer of people/teams who consistently practices key fundamentals of management like OKRs, continuous feedback, 1:1s, retrospectives, team meetings, skip levels, 360s, and both praise and criticism based on specific behaviors

    • Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
