    We currently searching for an Account Executive, New Business Development in Irvine, CA. This person is responsible for pipeline development on behalf of the company through outbound activities and strategy. This role will effectively qualify prospects and targets, enter them into our database, and schedule meetings for the New Business Development team. This role will take all appropriate and necessary action to ensure prospective clients regard the company in high esteem and rely upon us as their resource for present and future experiential marketing communications solutions. Reporting to the VP, New Business Development, the Account Executive, has over 2 years of direct industry experience.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop a pipeline of opportunities for the New Business Development team to target
    • Maintain a high level of New Business Development activity through prospecting calls, emails, social media and networking
    • Research and qualify prospects.
    • Understand prospects’ objectives, challenges, successes and competitive environment.
    • Assist in the development of capabilities presentations and RFPs.
    • Travel to shows and events for business development purposes.
    • Continually expand knowledge of company capabilities and industry.
    • Achieve/exceed Annual Growth Target.
    • Lead new business efforts on smaller opportunities.
    • Responsible for accurate and up-to-date forecasting and reporting on smaller revenue opportunities.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the event marketing and/or trade show industry; and 2 years’ experience in account management in the event marketing and/or trade show industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Experience in the event marketing or a creative solutions-based agency.

    • Effective communication skills are required: including the ability to make effective presentations; prepare written documentation including proposals, quotations and letters; maintain accurate and complete client and project files

    • Must be able to develop excellent rapport with existing and prospective clients.

    • Must have a good “business sense”.

    • Must have computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.

    • Experience with Sage Customer Relationship Management software considered an asset

    • Exhibit the ability to multi-task, sell, and operate under severe time constraints and immovable deadlines. Good organization, detail and follow-up skills are required.
