    Job Description

    THE POSITION:

    This role will be responsible for providing EHS support for ES Complex Bridge systems (complex equipment systems treating challenging water sources). With a focus on system design review, project set-up, commissioning and hand-off to the regional EHS support team, the Complex Bridge EHS Manager **** is accountable for managing the safety program from inquiry to order through execution to operations. Responsibilities include implementation of all necessary EHS programs, engineering design review, EHS procedure writing, governance, and processes required to represent the company as a customer facing Subject Matter Expert (SME). This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and make operational decisions under challenging situations. It will require strong people management and technical skills.

    ** Responsibilities** :

    • Reviewing engineered systems through design phase with an EHS mindset.
    • Perform HAZOP / What If? / PHA / FMEA
    • Organize and drive feedback to engineering for sustained product and project delivery improvement.
    • Training/Mentoring in the field of company staff or partners for site visits, commissioning activities
    • Managing customer expectations and ensuring that the highest standards are maintained by Veolia WTS employees.
    • Communicate with fellow services, product team members, engineering, process & controls groups to ensure issues are recorded and understood to allow uninterrupted customer service.
    • Travel to customer sites to provide specific attention to project safety to ensure the customer experience is positive.
    • Work independently, being able to set goals and accomplish them.
    • Use their knowledge, and their observations of events at customers sites to formulate a plan to resolve the issues.
    • Root Cause Analysis experience/training for solving incident investigation.
    • Mechanical experience and know-how (hands on, reading and interpreting drawings, etc.), particularly with water treatment equipment (pumps, valves, instrumentation, relief valves, regulators, pneumatic systems, etc.).

    ** Qualifications/Requirements:**

    • Bachelor’s degree (engineering, EHS or chemistry preferred)
    • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment projects, product/project safety, or related fields.
    • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and operate independently to deliver business results.
    • Clear and concise communication skills.
    • Project Management skills / experience
    • Drive a winning mentality and culture.
    • Excellent computer skills (i.e., Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
    • Relevant field experience working around water treatment equipment.
    • Background in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools Apollo / Tap Root.
    • Focus on customer relationships (both external and internal customers).
    • Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn new equipment and processes related to Veolia WTS products and systems including but not limited to RO/ED, UF/MBR, Ion Exchange, ADT and Thermal technologies.
    • Up to 25 to 50% Travel

    ** Desired:**

    • Demonstrated ability to create written safety procedures and safety manuals.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan multiple priorities, focus on the most important ones.
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new problems, clients, and situations.
    • Demonstrated ability to make timely and correct decisions without all the information.

    ● Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is
    not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills,
    experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding
    considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the
    stated range: $90,000 - $100,000
