Warehouse EHS Support – Job Description (Distribution Center)
Located- Lancaster, TX
Duration: 6-9 Months
Pay Rate - $25hr
Position Summary:
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Support role assists in maintaining a safe and compliant warehouse environment. This position supports daily safety operations within the distribution center by monitoring workplace practices, ensuring PPE compliance, assisting with safety training, and helping reduce workplace incidents. The EHS Support team member works closely with supervisors, forklift operators, and warehouse associates to promote a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily warehouse safety walkthroughs to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
Monitor compliance with PPE requirements including steel toe shoes, safety vests, gloves, and other required equipment.
Assist with incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and document findings.
Support forklift safety practices and ensure operators follow safety procedures.
Track and distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain accurate inventory records.
Assist with new hire safety orientation and ongoing safety training for warehouse associates.
Ensure associates follow safe material handling procedures while picking, packing, loading, and unloading products.
Maintain safety documentation including inspection logs, incident reports, and training records.
Support emergency response procedures, including evacuation drills and reporting hazards.
Work with warehouse leadership to promote continuous safety improvement.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
3+ year experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or safety support role preferred.
Basic understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
Experience working around forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and warehouse equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce safety standards.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills for reports and safety documentation.
