Elevate Workforce in Baton Rouge is currently hiring maintenance technicians for our local client Pod Pack International. 

Pod Pack International is fast-growing and seeking additional Maintenance Technicians. Pod Pack isa leading innovator for single-serve coffee and tea package manufacturing and offers opportunity to advance within the company.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking hardworking and energetic Packaging Equipment Mechanics to join ourTeam. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, experience as an Equipment Technician/Mechanic working with machines such as packaging equipment, conveyors and pneumatic systems. Pod Pack Equipment Mechanics must evaluate, diagnose and be creative in repairing a variety of failures to keep the manufacturing lines operating.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance and repair of specialty coffee and tea packaging equipment (mechanical, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, robotics, conveyors, etc)
• Follow a structured Preventative Maintenance program
• Collaborate with the Parts Department for proper spare parts inventory
• Cross-train to operate production lines as needed
• Maintain clean and safe work stations
• Troubleshoot equipment problems to minimize equipment downtime
• Clean machines

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years in an Equipment Technician/Mechanic role in an industrial facility or manufacturing plant
• Strong mechanical skills
• Innovative and interested in equipment modification to optimize efficiency and reliability a plus
• Successful drug screen, background check and pre-employment physical exam
• Flexibility in work schedule for a two-shift operation
• Reliable work attendance / dependable transportation
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and to work on feet all shift
• Driven, focused and passionate
• Great work ethic and team player

Salary is 3-7 years experience $18 - $25 

10+ years experience $26- $30
