The Mortgage Loan Officer works under the direction of the Branch Manager and knows how to develop and maintain relationships on a high call volume. Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for selling new residential mortgage loans as well as refinancing existing residential mortgages. The Mortgage Loan Officer will do the following on a day to day basis;

• Originate mortgage loans
• Work closely with industry related professionals to gather and prepare all necessary information to complete underwriting requirements
• Take applications for clients and maintain knowledge of available loan products and guidelines.
• Follow up with Clients and build relationships
• Respond timely to customers needs and work to collect needed documentation to maintain a smooth and simple mortgage process.
• Maintain top notch levels of customer service for both the borrowers and the staffs expectations.
• Communicate a thorough understanding of different loan programs and closing costs to help prospective buyers make a decision

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma/GED
• 18 Years Of Age
• Must be comfortable with using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional decision-making ability, superior written and verbal communication skills, and superb interpersonal and customer service skills required
• SAFE exam preferred but not required
• Must have strong communication skills and build relationships with clients over the phone
• Several years of experience in real estate, mortgage origination, or lending required
• Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, conventional, fixed/ adjustable loans, Bridge Loans, Non-Conforming Loans, FNMA and FHLMC, and Home Equity Lines of Credit
