    POSITION SUMMARY: ACCOUNT MANAGER - LABORATORY SALES

     

    ELLKAY is looking for an experienced account manager with expert relationship building skills to join our expanding Lab Sales Team.  The Lab Account Manager is responsible for improving existing relationships and developing growth opportunities for ELLKAY’s Clean Lab Order and Interoperability Solutions within a defined book of hospital lab and independent commercial lab customers.  The Lab Account Manager will also function as a liaison between cross-functional internal teams to ensure that ELLKAY solutions are delivered to customers successfully. The Lab Account Manager will have an opportunity to earn commission. The position is based out of ELLKAY’s New Jersey headquarters.

    This position requires a focused, motivated sales account management professional who has a proven track record of developing influential relationships with CIO’s and other C-Suite stakeholders of commercial, reference, and hospital outreach laboratories.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Consistently achieve sales targets.
    • Develop a comprehensive and focused account sales plan to identify opportunities within assigned accounts to expand business and recommend new products and solutions. 
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders to build and maintain long-term relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Deliver effective sales presentations including quarterly business reviews both in-person and using remote communications.
    • Collaborate with marketing partners and sales team to identify “white space” within assigned accounts.  
    • Formulate and deliver proposals and negotiate sales contracts.
    • Maintain accurate forecast and pipeline information in Salesforce.com; attend weekly meetings, and quarterly business reviews.
    • Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with operations, product management, marketing and internal sales support.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • At least 2 years of proven sales achievement in software, laboratory information systems, revenue cycle services or other relevant solutions directly to commercial and hospital labs.
    • A track record of success managing and expanding sales to key and strategic accounts in the lab industry with a portfolio value of at least $5 Million
    • Experience in team based selling and collaborating with sales team, and leveraging technical SME’s to support the technical selling process, understand customer requirements, and partnering with operations to guide successful delivery of products according to customer objectives.
    • Ability to travel 40%+ or as necessary to properly engage customers and lead on-site meetings and attend industry events.
