Qualifications
- This position spends the majority of on duty time in public areas of the property, including, but not limited to, the casino, pavilion, restaurants, meeting spaces, rooming areas, parking lots, golf course and grounds.
- Must be able to traverse stairs, uneven surfaces, varied flooring surfaces and ground covering while patrolling, responding to calls for service or emergency situations. The majority of on duty time is standing and/or walking.
- Ability to perform duties under varying conditions, including but not limited to exposure to varying levels of smoke, crowds, noise and changing weather conditions.
- Ability to compose clear, concise and accurate reports.
- Must be able to identify and quickly respond to potential problems, altercations and conflicts.
- Must able to lift up to 50 lbs. when moving money boxes, carts and drop equipment as necessary.
- Must be able to push and pull weight limits that do not exceed the manufacturer requirements of equipment.
- Must be able to assist sick or injured guests and or employees.
- Ability to communicate courteously, effectively and professionally with guests, outside contacts and all levels of employees.
- Must be able to use tools and equipment such as keys, handcuffs, flashlights, radios, computers and other tools specific to the position.
- May drive company vehicles at times, and if so, must maintain valid driver’s license.
- Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- State of Indiana Emergency Medical Certification required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to compose clear, accurate, and concise reports.
- General familiarity with investigative procedures preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- AED, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certification, and Blood Borne pathogen training, Preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
The skills are typically acquired through completion of Emergency Medical Certification, and two months of on-the-job training.
