    Galveston Area Ambulance Authority (GAAA) is seeking a dedicated EMS Education & Training Coordinator to lead the design, delivery, and tracking of training for our emergency medical team.     What You'll Do

    Program Leadership

    • Coordinate new hire onboarding, clinical skills training, and continuing education for EMS staff.

    • Oversee the Field Training Officer (FTO) program, ensuring consistency and readiness.

    • Manage training schedules, rosters, and CE records in the Learning Management System (LMS).

    Training Development

    • Design engaging training modules and skills labs that reinforce GAAA standards.

    • Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction in alignment with state and national protocols.

    • Evaluate program effectiveness and update materials to maintain excellence in EMS education.

    Collaboration & Compliance

    • Work closely with medical direction, operations leadership, and HR to meet all certification and reporting standards.

    • Partner with local EMS schools and agencies to coordinate student ride-outs and preceptorships.

    • Ensure compliance with Texas DSHS and internal education policies.

    What We're Looking For

    • Texas EMT-Paramedic certification (NREMT preferred)

    • At least 1 year in EMS and 1 year in training, education, or FTO leadership

    • Strong communication and organizational skills

    • Proficiency with computers and comfort learning LMS or scheduling tools

    • Instructor certifications (AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS, NAEMT, Stop the Bleed) preferred

    • Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends for training events
