    JOB OVERVIEW:

    The Foreman facilitates a safe work culture, and is accountable for the health and safety of the crew.  The Foreman works with the leadership team and the yard crew to ensure quality is maintained. They are accountable for following plans and schedules and ensuring the crew's daily and weekly activities meet planned goals. The Foreman must champion an inclusive employee culture and ensure adherence to HR and Safety policies and procedures by the crew to maintain a respectful work environment. They are also accountable for ensuring that the work completed meets standards and recommend work processes to improve productivity and product quality. Developing strong relationships with internal departments including sales, customer service, safety and human resources is also critical for success in this role.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Industry experience including familiarity with cranes, and platform and conventional trailers
    • At least two (2) years supervisory experience with strong leadership and communication skills
    • At least five (5) years shop maintenance experience.

    ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Completion of a formal supervisory training program

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Work is performed primarily in an outdoor yard environment, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust. Required to lift 50 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs on occasion. Required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing and kneeling.
