    PATH is leader in the use of new communication technologies and as such generates a significant amount of data which needs to be analyzed in real time. We are recruiting a digital health Associate.

     

    Responsibilities include:

         1. GENERAL 

    • Participate in the program coordination with all activities related to DHIS2
    • Engage with DHIS2 Community (through Discourse)
    • Support the implementation of DHIS2 in laboratory activities: Lab data, mapping and AMR
    • Manage equipment and materials to ensure transfer of data
    • provide technical support during biologists training in areas related to data collect, analysis, data processing
    • Supervision on the field
    • Participate in the conduct of training sessions for laboratories
    • Assist the Local Technical Officer in the implementation of activities related to the Information System
    • Support periodic supervision in the field to ensure completeness and quality of surveillance data
    • Support PATH Senegal business development opportunities including contributing technical content to proposals and concept notes.

     

     

      _   2. DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING_

    • Work closely with our partners as relevant to develop training materials, SOPs and modules for DHIS2 related activities.
    • Document user needs to inform global guidelines for using digital solutions for surveillance.
    • Involve in the preparation of GHSA related activities for monthly, quarterly and annual project reports.

     

        3. REPRESENTATION

    • As requested, attend all required meetings, workshops for the GHSA project or other PATH programs.
    • Other activities as assigned by the Performance Leader.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • An advanced degree in IT, software development or related field.
    • Previous experience in working with open-source solutions
    • Previous experience working in an NGO context preferred
    • Previous experience working with open source software (DHIS2, ODK)
    • Strong team player
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in French and English
    • Ability to administer a Linux server
