    Envision AESC is headquartered in Japan and has battery manufacturing locations in Japan, UK and the U.S. We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Supply Chain Analyst role to support our Smyrna, TN plant.


    Job Title: Analyst Supply Chain

    Job Summary

    The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for approving invoices by validating all charges from vendors, optimize and create logistics routes & pricing by continually reviewing established routes and delivery performance, establish comprehensive budgets taking all aspects of the business into consideration, track & development KPIs to ensure optimal business performance. This role will be involved in improving processes and procedures in all Supply Chain Management disciplines (production planning, production control, inventory control, inbound & outbound logistics, material procurement, etc.)

    This role will perform root cause analysis and provides countermeasures for continuous improvement, lead projects from start to finish as assigned, and contribute to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

    • Management of critical material supplier production capacity, forecasting, ordering, inventory control
    • Validate all SCM invoice charges and send to management for approval
    • Establish, track and maintain financial budgets
    • Implement improvements in processes, business relationships, etc. to reduce costs and improve competitive advantages
    • Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data.
    • Review and analyze gathered data to locate was areas in the supply chain process and develop methods to improve.
    • Research partner companies and seek to negotiate best-price contracts to increase business revenue.
    • Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects.
    • Oversight of FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) compliance and daily reporting to ensure compliance
    • Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values.
    • Assist in promoting a positive image and inter-business relationship with business partners and vendors.
    • Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes

    Minimum Qualifications

    Job Knowledge and Skill:

    • Knowledge of inventory control processes and procedures.
    • Understanding of statistical analysis, parts forecasting methodologies, and associated system software.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Basic understanding of principles, concepts, practices and standards related to supply and logistics system information management.
    • Experience analyzing and improving supply chain data, information and processes
    • Supply Chain Management certification is not necessary though strongly preferred
    • High-level understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes
    • Previous experience with supply chain processes strongly preferred
    • Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes
    • Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and negotiating with vendors
    • Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenge and needs to be addressed
    • Ability to research companies and determine the best vendors to reach out to for various projects
    • Experience working to improve all aspects of the supply chain by streamlining steps and locating the best prices for inventory

    Experience:

    • Minimum of five years of related experience in a professional business atmosphere or equivalent degree.
    • FTZ compliance/management experience preferred, but not required.

    Supervisory Experience:

    • Some experience managing others preferred but not required.
    • Typically obtained by at least 4 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience within a large-scale supply or logistics management organization.

    Education:

    • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or related degree is preferred as well as supply management certification and automotive industry experience

    Computer Skills and Required Software Experience:

    • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP or similar ERP

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to bend, lift and/ or twist.

    Travel:

    • Occasional day or overnight travel.
