Manufacturing Program Director
Must have Aviation experience (AS90100D)
The position of Manufacturing Program Director (MPD) encompasses the responsibility to ensure on-time production & delivery of latest aviation transponder, The MPD will ensure all cross-functional personnel are appropriate trained, processes and documentation are in place for production, and subcomponent materials are on-hand to delivery for airline customers.
| Duties/Responsibilities
Ensure all technical, cost and schedule objectives are aligned with program goals
Oversee Bill of Material for all deliverables for electronic design, mechanical assemblies, and overall system to ensure assembly production is aligned to support forecast timelines
Manage circuit board test system readiness, ensuring all test parameters and system configurations are available to support PCB throughput
Coordinate Sales, Engineering, Quality, Shipping and Production data to enable production availability forecasts based on resource availability
Strategically prioritize component procurements to balance minimal inventory while eliminating production stoppages.
Oversee the procurement of all deliverable artifacts associated with ELT-DT. These include, but are not limited to: cabling, maintenance computing resources, and antennas.
As applicable, identify Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to ensure changes of design elements are delivered to meet production needs.
Ensure all software programming tools are able to program ELTs and that new profiles are uploaded appropriately
Coordinate with Sustainment and Manufacturing Engineering team to balance production requirements with all other sustainment production items ·
Review and develop work instructions, as appropriate, to ensure processes are aligned with production needs.
Manages supplier quality defects, assembly non-conformances; identifies workarounds to supply strict delivery timelines
As required, takes personal accountability in delivering in whatever function requires delivery support (Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Shipping).

Able to interpret sales forecast data into supply chain demands, while balancing cost and lead time decisions
Able to evaluate engineering processes that align with production demands in embedded system electronics environment
Able to adhere to aviation quality standards that support AS9100D certification standards.
Able to coordinate complex production requirements between engineering, production, shipping, quality, and supply chain
Effective and frequent written and oral communication to technical team
Able to assess electronic printed circuit board (PCB) bill of materials (BOMs) for accuracy and compliance
Balance workloads between various production functions
Unwilling to accept ‘No’ for an answer for ability to deliver production commitments to customers
Exhibits exceptional judgement in identifying potential risk areas and identifies solutions to focus on delivery expectations
| Knowledge, Education, and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Field (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
Minimum 15 years working as a technical leader in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or prior applicable experience
Previous experience delivering electronics assemblies for commercial aviation customers
Previous experience working in aviation businesses interfacing directly with customers in manufacturing environment
