ENVi Environmental, LLC is an Ohio based consulting firm - offices in Independence and Elyria. We are seeking an Asbestos Abatement Supervisor/ Abatement Workers. Partnered with Kurtz Bros, Inc., ENVi provides consulting services relating to Air/Water/Waste Permitting, Compliance, Due Diligence, and Asbestos Evaluations and Abatement services.
Hourly Wage: $18-$25 per hour.
ALL APPLICANTS MUST:
Have current Ohio Asbestos Hazard Certification or be willing to go through the paid training to receive such certification.
Pass a spirometry exam (respirator test), drug test & background check
Have a valid Driver’s License & Reliable transportation
We are seeking assertive and reliable individuals who take a proactive approach to their work and seek quality job site performance.
Responsible for working with asbestos and/or other regulated wastes adhering to all regulatory state and federal standards as well as company policies and procedures.
Work tasks are often straightforward, routine, structured and guided by established policies and regulations.
Under leadership of a ENVI Project Manager, ENVi personnel will perform abatement activities that includes building containment, conducting material removal, encapsulation, etc.
The individual will participate in annual industry training for required certifications.
The ideal candidate will:
Be required to Pass a drug screen and have a valid Ohio Driver’s License as well as reliable transportation.
Be able to communicate effectively with Project Manager and other abatement specialists’ to ensure that projects are completed in a compliant, safely and in a timely fashion.
Project work will involve exposure to heights, seasonal temperatures and hazardous chemicals. Abatement Supervisor/Worker shall be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Pass training/testing for specific certifications.
Be able to wear respirator and personal protective equipment.
Must be able to travel to various job site locations.
Be available for overtime and weekend work as needed by project.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Must be able to work scheduled work hours.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.

Additional preferred skills for this position:
Possession of current Ohio Asbestos Abatement Worker/Supervisor certification with 1+ years of experience a plus.
Construction industry experience a plus.
