As an EPIC Data Warehouse ETL Developer/Administrator, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration and storage. Reporting to the Data Warehouse Manager, your core responsibilities will include utilizing SQL, Python, and Oracle to develop robust data solutions. Your expertise in AWS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Agile methodologies will enhance our data management capabilities. Additionally, your familiarity with tools like Informatica and Hadoop will be vital in supporting our data analytics initiatives, ultimately driving informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ETL services for migrating medical claims and payor data to Epic Caboodle schemas.
- Develop and optimize SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for Quality Incentive Program (QIP) Payor Data.
- Standardize and enhance QIP claims eligibility processing using best SQL practices.
- Perform ongoing assessments and recommend improvements for claims processing, including indexing and partitioning.
- Ensure documentation, testing, and migration of solutions to align with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.
- Update reports and dashboards based on workflow or application changes.
Typical Tasks:
- Assess feasibility of migrating QIP claims processing to Epic Caboodle schemas.
- Combine and optimize custom SSIS packages into a single QIP master package.
- Investigate and recommend improvements for QIP metric table usage and claims processing.
- Recommend migration plans and solutions for claims processing updates.
- Develop, test, and implement combined SSIS packages and claims processing updates.
- Document and maintain all development work in the County’s SDLC repository.
- Provide ongoing assessments and solutions for claims processing enhancements within 30 business days.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years ETL development experience, including Epic domain expertise.
- Proficient in SQL development and scalable data architecture design.
- Familiarity with healthcare financial and transactional files (e.g., billing, claims, eligibility).
- Experience integrating data with 3rd-party vendors/agencies.
- Ability to work independently and follow SDLC standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in Microsoft SSIS and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of Epic Caboodle and Clarity data models, especially for financial and clinical aspects.
- Experience with healthcare data integration and scalable ETL processes.
Certifications:
- Epic Clarity / Caboodle Data Model and Development Certification(s)Model/Clinical or Financial
