Pay: $50 to $55 depending on experience.
Job Summary
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, trauma, or life-threatening conditions. The ER RN works in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on severity of condition
Provide emergency nursing care for trauma, cardiac, neurological, medical, and surgical emergencies
Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatments
Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency interventions per protocol
Assist with emergency procedures such as intubation, wound care, splinting, and resuscitation
Operate and monitor emergency equipment (cardiac monitors, defibrillators, ventilators)
Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
Collaborate with physicians, EMTs, specialists, and support staff
Respond effectively to code situations and mass casualty events
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State-specific)
BLS certification (AHA)
ACLS certification
PALS and TNCC preferred
Minimum 2 year of ER or acute care experience preferred
Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
