Job Description
Responsibilities
• Support the President in the overall operations of the Company and the execution of a robust strategic plan to ensure growth and continual improvements
• Co-develop a complete, cross-functional annual budget for the Company with account-level details
• Maintain chart of accounts, financial dimensions, and overall accounting hierarchy within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Calculate all accruals and reserves for financial statements
• Prepare and review journal entries monthly and more frequently as needed
• Conduct monthly GL account reconciliation activities
• Track, evaluate, and account for inventory to include review of annual physical count procedures and results
• Generate monthly financial statements
• Ensure accounting records and financial statements are in compliance with GAAP
• Prepare monthly P&L and cash flow forecasts with analysis of actual performance relative to budget
• Prepare and present, with President & General Manager, relevant financial and operational updates to parent company each month
• Draft/revise, implement, and enforce internal control policies and procedures
• Supervise all accounting functions to include accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets management, payroll, etc.
• Ensure integrity of financial systems and databases
• Serve as audit liaison for all audits (e.g., bank, borrowing base, 401(k), financial statements, etc.) and prepare all related deliverables
• Review weekly and biweekly payroll
• Facilitate and assist with design and implementation of ERP upgrade occurring within next 2 years
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• At least 5-7 years of relevant accounting and/or corporate financial experience showing progressive responsibility. Experience in construction, manufacturing, distribution or related industries is preferred
• At least 2-4 years in a finance/accounting senior management role to include managing a team. Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
• Financial reporting and analysis experience.
• Experience working for an organization in growth mode and/or merger & acquisition experience.
• Advanced user in Microsoft Office applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams with the ability to learn other company computer applications as needed.
• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance with technical accounting knowledge. Advanced degree an/or certification preferred.
