    JOB PURPOSE

    The Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution and communication of the pricing strategy of ESP International.  This includes supporting the Customer Relations team in ensuring that all supplier price increases are passed through to our customers in a timely manner.  The pricing analyst will ensure the accuracy of price files, explore market pricing feedback and discrepancies, and analyze the performance of pricing strategies. The Pricing Analyst will also investigate margin creep, negative margin and low margin parts and make recommendations for correction.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Existing Business Margin improvement 

      • Monitor daily sales reports for customer margin erosion
      • Proactively research orders in order center that would possibly be low at time of shipping
      • Create and manage all reporting that tracks margin and margin erosion
      • Analyze customer price increase files for accuracy
      • Present pricing recommendations to Customer Relations Specialist for implementation
      • Reports out CE customers’ margin data each month to ISM and VP of Sales
      • Reports out price increase analytics that may drive resourcing projects
      • Monitor customer Ratio of Attainment to ensure they are meeting predetermined margins
      • Monitor industry trends to benchmark customer margins based on their industry
    • Price Increase turnaround time

      • Monitor price increase site for price increases
      • Work with supply chain obtain justification for price increases
      • Create pricing files for Customer Relations Specialist to send to customer
      • Ensure timeliness of pricing analysis sent to CRS for implementation
      • Analyze gross margins on price increases assuring no reduction in gross margin

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting from an accredited College or University and five years of related experience.  Strong analytic skills, extremely versed in MS Excel, and very comfortable with numbers.
