    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Maintenance Technician’s role is to maintain the facilities for Eureka Multifamily Group’s Properties, including but not limited to the property grounds and common areas in the best possible condition. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They ensure that heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality, the installations HVAC and, the upkeep of the landscape.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
    • Plan and schedule repairs in a timely manner.
    • Perform general maintenance including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
    • Repair faulty equipment.
    • Conduct maintenance of electrical systems.
    • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations.
    • Support the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
    • Aid in budget development and ensure it is followed.
    • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
    • Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection and quickly schedule repairs when needed.
    • Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
    • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
    • Physically capable of lifting 50 or more pounds.
    • Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
    • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools.
    • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
    • Flexibility to work unexpected hours.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • High School Diploma or higher.
    • HVAC Certification required.
    • EPA 1 & 2 technician certification required.
    • Bilingual is a plus.
