JOB PURPOSE
The Cybersecurity Engineer leads the efforts to protect our vehicle against hackers to protect our users, customers and guests. This includes protecting the vehicle as well as the cloud.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design a security scheme for the vehicle and the cloud that will protect the vehicle, its hardware, the passengers, and their data.
Perform a Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment
Perform fuzz & penetration
Manage open vulnerabilities for the vehicle and cloud components and work to resolve them
Provide cybersecurity expertise and know-how during the design process
Actively seek or create new cybersecurity techniques and countermeasures for our vehicle and cloud
QUALIFICATIONS
BS or MS in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
Specialization in IoT a plus
Certificate CompTIA Security+ preferred
Certified CEH preferred
SANS Security Certifications preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience
Hands-on experience with HW/SW Development
Detailed knowledge of cybersecurity design techniques and validation methods
Detailed knowledge of Encryption, Certificates, Key Exchange and Public Key Infrastructure
Detailed knowledge of Bootloaders and Communication Protocols
Understanding of Linux, QNX, or another embedded operating system
Familiar with automotive security and the challenges specific with this industry
Familiar with common hacking/exploitation tools
Familiar with common cryptographic algorithms/protocols including weaknesses and possible attack
