Read on... Own the design and release of the Electronic Steering Systems, including mechanical packaging, Steering Assist, and relevant ADAS interfaces. RESPONSIBILITIES AND GOALS: - Collaborate with the Vehicle Dynamics team to design and meet vehicle performance targets - Define and manage all technical requirements through the design and validation phases - Manage deliverables and suppliers to meet program milestones and prototype builds - Construct Design Verification Plan (DVP) and coordinate execution of verification tests throughout program milestones - Coordinate with manufacturing on mass production assembly solutions and component quality - Support FUSA team with Functional Safety and Failure Mode Analysis Strategy for the Steering system - Network Communication and Software Release integration with other Vehicle controllers QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Equivalent  - 5 or more years of Steering Assist Software Development  - Expert knowledge of Steering components, systems, and validation  - Understanding of Steering rack integration with Suspension and Vehicle Packaging  - Understanding of Vehicle Dynamics and ADAS interfaces  - Steering Column design experience – tilt, telescope, crash  - Simulink Modeling and HIL testing  - Understanding of Tire dynamics, Brake Controls, Suspension Controls  - Experience with Electric Powertrain Vehicles CHARACTERISTICS: - Creative mindset - High attention to detail - Supplier Management - Collaboration - Ownership WHAT'S COOL ABOUT WORKING HERE... - Four months paid primary care giver leave - Flexible PTO - Participation in the Employee Share Option Plan - Beautiful new facility in Torrance - Casual workplace with an unbelievable feeling of energy - Work in a high-growth start up that will redefine urban mobility - A world-class team.
