    Canoo is seeking a Chassis Controls Engineer to own the architecture, development, and release of all Chassis Control hardware, software and Performance. This includes Electronic Stability Control, Power Assisted Braking, Steering, and Suspension systems.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND GOALS

    • Vehicle performance target setting
    • Manage deliverables and suppliers to meet program milestones and prototype builds
    • Construct Design Verification Plan (DVP) and coordinate execution of verification tests throughout program milestones
    • Construct Functional Safety and Failure Mode Effect Analysis Strategy
    • Network Communication and software release integration with other vehicle controllers
    • Lead definition of Diagnostic DTC's, inhibitions, and service routines
    • Cross functional Chassis lead for Electrical Architecture, Powertrain, and ADAS

       

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

    Required:

    •  Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Software Engineering or Equivalent
    •  10+ years of Chassis Controls experience
    •  Experience in Braking, Steering, and Suspension components, systems, and validation
    •  Understanding of global Homologation requirements
    •  Understanding of Vehicle Dynamics, ADAS, and Powertrain

    Preferred:

    • Expert in Functional Safety and ISO 26262
    •  Experience with architecting redundant Chassis systems
    • Production vehicle calibration of Stability Control, Steering Assist, and Suspension Damping
    • Experience with Electric Powertrain Vehicles
