    Job Description

    Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:

    • Ensure the timely review, investigation, and claims entry of all claim’s objects within 24 hours of receipt.
    • Identify and respond on claims that cannot be filed within same 24 hours to responsible party or application like our Internal Digital OSD application.
    • Once claim object is identified as an object that is valid to be filed, communicate with all internal stake holders to obtain invoice value documentation to file the claim.
    • Prioritize and keep track of requests to ensure follow up and a detail check of claims object requests versus claims filed as a daily activity.
    • File claims with appropriate support document to carrier portals.
    • Follow up with carriers as needed for claims awards or denials.
    • Denials must be communicated immediately to the responsible party or application to close the claim incident.
    • Awarded claims must be reconciled to the receipt of a claims check and then processed to Finance with appropriate coding for GL and allocation to P&L
    • Any disputes to claim response or failure to receive claims checks on awarded claim requires communication and meetings with carrier claims departments.
    • Assist in generating reports on filed v/s awarded & denied claims for multiple internal groups and carriers.
    • Review of claims with the Senior Transportation Manager on calls with the carriers to identify claims trend.
    • Reconcile aged claims with the carrier claims department or account rep while any write offs must be approved by the Senior Transportation Manager.
    • The position will be involved with issues and problem solving that result from the initial and final claims investigation.
    • Ensure that all internal and external requests such as returns, free astray and misdirects all modes are responded to within 24 hours.
    • Effectively communicate with all internal departments, clients, and carriers as needed to ensure proper processing and success of closing out any claim object or claims filinig.
    • All other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

    • Education: High School Diploma or GED
    • Experience, Training and/or Skills: Background in operations and knowledge of the transportation industry; ability to be trained in Mercury Gate or TMS as a user; 2-5 years of administrative experience; ability to develop reporting and analytics; general functional knowledge in key entry and following multiple format requirements for filing claims in different platforms;
    • Technology/Equipment TMS; auditing tools; Microsoft Office Suite

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
    • Experience and/or Training: Background in Transportation and Distribution
    • Licenses/Certificates: Degree in Supply Chain or Finance APICS CSCP
    • Technology/Equipment: Power BI User Level
