    Job Description

    THE POSITION:

    The People Partner is responsible for leadership and guidance to the Chesterfield, MO Patient Services organization’s HR operations. The Manager is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals under the guidance of the VP, People.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

    • Collaborates with Chesterfield/Patient Services senior leadership as well as direct supervisor to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
    • Networks in the greater Chesterfield area to ensure compensation and recruiting trends are being monitored as they relate to distribution centers and/or the life science industry.
    • Plans, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
    • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, , and training and development.
    • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
    • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human capital management system.
    • Monitors and ensures the Chesterfield organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
    • All other duties as assigned

    PEOPLE LEADER

    People leaders must possess both the skills to effectively accomplish these tasks and the emotional intelligence to do so in alignment with our cultural values.  In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities: __

    • Responsible for oversight of their respective team.
    • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures
    • Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

    EXPECTIONS OF THE JOB:

    • TRAVEL UP TO 10% travel to all HR meetings and other Patient Services facilities as requested/needed. 
    • ON SITE:  this is a position where the incumbent must be physically present on site in the Chesterfield, MO facility.
    • HOURS  40 hours per week, 5 days a week

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a heavy non-exempt employee population.
    • This position requires a Bachelor-level degree preferably in Human Resources Management
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Life science/pharmaceutical industry experience
    • Regulated industry experience, especially the FDA and DEA
    • SHRM Certification
