We are a national distributor for high quality manufacturers. Our specialty providers include: Andersen , Weather Shield, Coral Architectural , Oldcastle Building Envelope and many more.

It was a busy year for us and we are expecting a 40% growth over the next year.

We are currently hiring for a: Experienced Bookkeeper

At our: WPB Location

This candidate should have knowledge of: Basic Bookkeeping Skills

Be experienced in: Commercial Construction Preferred

Job Overview:

This role will provide the opportunity to develop and implement new and improved processes and policies, and encourage creativity and investigation in all aspects of the accounting department. Someone very cost-conscious, well-organized, detail-oriented, and highly communicative and responsive at all times. And, perhaps most important of all, a consistently positive and upbeat attitude at all times.

Directly Reports To: Controller

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Controller in all daily activities, special projects and research.
• Monthly Accounts Payable Ledger/ Accounts Receivable Ledger and Credit Card reconciliations to General Ledger.
• Support operational accounting personnel in the areas of A/P, A/R or Payroll as needed.
• Inter-company reconciliations.
• Full auditing of credit card charges to ensure proper approval and posting to respective invoices and to ensure Company rules are being followed in the usage of its credit cards.
• Ensure all charges are coded and entered to each job appropriately and accurately.
• Periodic accounting workflow review and recommendations.
• Organizing meetings with managers whether weekly, monthly or as the need arises.
• Act as a resource during month end and annual closings by providing supporting documentation as requested.
• Monthly comparative analysis between Facil-it COS and QuickBooks to prevent instances of omissions and unsubstantiated inclusions.
• Work in conjunction with AP & AR personnel.

Candidate Qualifications:

• 4-year BS degree in business, finance or accounting

• 5 years of applicable experience

• QuickBooks & General Ledger experience

• Very hands on (aspects of this position require heavy data entry)

• Willing to wear multiple hats

• Flexible and open-minded

• A problem solver, with investigative mindset

• Detail oriented and organized

• Experience with Microsoft suite of products with Intermediary to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent written and oral skills

• Knowledge of the Real Estate industry a plus.

• Experience with sales tax and income tax filing
