Job Summary
In your role as a Senior Surveillance Software Developer, you will be responsible for the Development and Testing of a Communication Infrastructure Upgrade using the Air Surveillance Radar-9 (ASR-9), National Air Space (NAS), and Service Life Extension Program (SLEP).
Responsibilities
Troubleshooting, optimizing, coding, reviewing and debugging source code
Testing embedded real-time computer systems
Writing procedures and other required documentation
Validating and integrating new designs with the complex systems
Working with PL/M-86 compiler
Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science or Math (or another technical field with at least 30 hours of math/stats and/or computer science) and 20 years of experience OR
Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of (30) semesters hours in a combination of statistics, mathematics and 16 years of related work experience in a computer science or math field
Technical Proficiencies
C/C++ (High proficiency required)
PL/M-86 compiler
Linux (High proficiency required)
Shell scripting
Understanding of networking communication protocols (TCP/IP and UDP/IP) and hardware
Skill with some of the following: GCC Compiler, Cross Compiler Environment, QT, BSD Sockets, Wireshark, Network Routing, Git, Yocto, Bitbake, Linux Network Device Drivers, Python, Open Embedded, and Netlink
Able to clearly communicate technical issues with non-technical personnel, follow directions, manage time efficiently, think outside the box and meet organizational deadlines
This position requires for work to be performed at the William J Hughes Technical Center in New Jersey and may require occasional travel all around the US when scheduling dictates or at management discretion.
