Job Summary
As a System Administrator, you will support software maintenance, integration, and installation of multiple complex computer systems across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Upgrade multiple enterprise systems simultaneously: Redhat products or COTS products.
Maintain complex applications in Linux environment (VMs or containers/Kubernetes).
Work on various system configuration (Redhat Camel (Fuse), JMS and webservices messages).
Work on system administration: RHEL SELinux, Firewalld access control, VMs, containers, Kubernetes, Linux network configuration, Active Directory Integration and database configuration(Hbase/Hadoop).
Create system automation with Ansible, Perl, Bash shells.
Administration of existing code base (git), Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery with gitlab, Jenkins and Artifactory.
Work collaboratively with a team or as an individual on assigned projects to meet multiple deadlines and deliverables.
Second level support for deployment and field issues.
Qualifications:
B.S. of Computer Science, Math, or other technical field and 20 years of related experience OR
M.S. of Computer Science, Math, or other technical field and 16 years of related experience
Technical Proficiencies:
Experience with Linux (RHEL) environment system administration
Experience with scripting languages for system automation such ansible, bash shell script
Knowledge of object-oriented languages such as JAVA (or C or C++)
Excellent communication
Able to multitask and work on multiple systems to meet tight deadlines
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Redhat Camel, Linux Security Settings: SELinux, SSH Access Controls, Firewalls
Experience with SOA (service-oriented architecture), JMS message queue or webservices
Experience with CI/CD gitlab, Jenkins, Jfrog Artifactory
Experience with containers: Kubernetes or Openshift
Experience with network configuration, VMware, Active Directory integration, versioning tools
