    Directional Drill Operator Needed

    ● Operate Vermeer and Ditch Witch Drilling equipment ● Locate the bore path for the Drilling equipment ● Preform daily maintenance on job site equipment and vehicles ● Ensure proper bore rig set-up, & fluid mixing ● Ensure proper piloting and down-hole reaming to maximize daily production ● Able to locate and pothole necessary utility lines ● Demonstrate good judgment in the field ● Work as a team in tandem with the crew foreman and other crew members ● Perform all duties adhering to company safety procedures and policies

    Ensures safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities.

    Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.

    Setup and cleanup of work site including traffic and pedestrian control.

    Reads utility locates.

    Ensures all applicable permits and locates are complete on site.

    Inspects the work that is in progress to ensure that the workmanship conforms to specifications.

    Operates construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.

    Operates vehicles and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certified.

    Performs proper maintenance by greasing, oiling, and making minor repairs on equipment.

    Assist crew in daily task of excavation, trenching and installation efforts.

    Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality service and timeliness in daily operations.

    Operate and maintain construction equipment and assigned vehicles.

    Locate/stake work areas prior to digging.

    MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH USING A SHOVEL AND PHYSICAL WORK OUTSIDE

    MUST BE WILLING TO OBTAIN A CLASS E LICENSE AND PASS A DOT PHYSICAL

    MUST HAVE A GOOD DRIVING RECORD FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES

    Reliably commute to work (Required)

    Experience:

    Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)

    License/Certification:

    Driver's License (Required) 'E' OR HIGHER
