    Job Description

    SUMMARY:

    Plans, directs, and coordinates the procurement process, including buying all electronic components as well as any materials needed throughout the production process. Manages vendor activity ensuring the most cost effective and timely delivery while working as part of a team with production managers to ensure the highest customer satisfaction.

    RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY:

    · Support ISO procedures and continuous improvement efforts.

    · Review the effectiveness of the procurement system on a periodic basis and implement change / improvements as required.

    · Continually seek ways to improve the procurement process to maximize the profitability of the company.

    · Ensure the satisfaction of customer requirements by utilizing suppliers that adhere to EXPERT company policies and objectives.

    · Forecasting materials needs, keep constant check on stock levels to maximize business efficiency.

    · Identify alternate suppliers and additional quotes on parts and other materials to achieve cost savings.

    · Conduct research to determine the best products and suppliers for best value, delivery schedule and quality.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    · BA or equivalent in work experience.

    · Two + experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    · Must be detail oriented, organized, have negotiation experience, and possess excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites.

    · Prior experience with an ERP system, preferably Sage / Mas 90.
