    Job Description

    We seek a highly experienced professional, with strong business management skills, to assist the Executive Director of this nonprofit organization.

    • Master’s degree preferred in Public Health, Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, or related field with 5 years relevant work experience; and/or minimum BS/BS degree with 7 years strong relevant work experience

    • Bilingual (read/speak/write) Spanish and English a plus

    • 5-7 years of relevant work experience working with closely with an Executive Director or equivalent

    • Demonstrated business management and project management experience, including strategic planning and development

    • Ability to follow verbal/written communication

    • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office, with proficiency in formulas and spreadsheet design

    • Strong experience with data collection and management

    • Experience planning, organizing, implementing, supervising short- and long-term projects and events. Experience implementing fundraising events is a plus

    • Excellent time management skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills

    • Experience with HR and compliance a strong plus

    • Some travel required

    KEY PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide direct support to Executive Director

    • Maintain all confidential records and documents

    • Function as a liaison between partnering organizations, providing direction and support as necessary

    • First-level contact for all community stakeholders

    • Manage the day-to-day schedule of the Executive Director

    • Compose all correspondences as required

    • Onboard new employees

    • Manage invoices, expenses...work closely with accounting firm

    • Conduct research as required

    • Monitor and evaluate operations, programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; and make recommendations for improvement

    • Work on special projects as required

    • Create action plans as required

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Experience with statistical data and research a strong plus.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
