    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

     

    The VP of Portfolio Management is responsible for the strategic direction and financial performance of the company’s brand portfolio, including product roadmaps, growth adjacencies and strategic positioning.   The executive leads the development and executive of brand strategies across the entire TracFone brand portfolio, to ensure a distinct, differentiated value proposition for each brand in the portfolio, as well as, a comprehensive product and service offering within each brand to drive profitable growth.  As part of this role, this executive will lead the transformation from brand marketing to portfolio management, instilling a strong financial, strategic and product acumen across the portfolio.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    CORPORATE BRAND PORTFOLIO & PORTFOLIO STRATEGY

    • Lead the strategic direction of the company’s signature brands including Straight Talk, Net10, TracFone, Simple Mobile, Total Wireless. Create a holistic and differentiated positioning strategy for each brand in the corporate portfolio.
    • Direct a team of brand leaders in creating and implementing their respective brand strategies to achieve profitable growth.
    • Monitor industry and market trends, synthesizing insights to shape portfolio and positioning strategies.
    • Oversee pricing, channel and device strategies for each brand in the portfolio.

     

    PRODUCT AND SERVICE PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

    • Oversee the product and service development process for each brand to ensure a robust portfolio of offerings that addresses customer needs, expands into market adjacencies and delivers profitable growth.
    • Maintain a robust product and service roadmap for each brand, stretching the brand into new markets and product adjacencies.
    • Oversee key phases in the NPD and SPR process including the development of business plans, creation of financial business cases, product/solution specifications and go-to-market plans and requirements.
    • Partner with the Innovation and Commercialization team on identify, validate and successfully launch new offerings. Set the direction on launch and communications plans to ensure attainment of new customer acquisition targets.
    • Partner with Customer Marketing team to optimize customer retention to ensure the health of the portfolio.
    • Oversee the integration of Value Added Services within each brand portfolio and the go-to-market activities to ensure commercial success of adjacent service offerings.
    • Partner with the product development team to build a comprehensive offering of devices as part of each brand’s portfolio. Leverage device offerings in go-to-market strategies to ensure commercial success.
    • Direct the ongoing benchmarking of competitive offerings (features, services, pricing), leveraging insights to feed roadmap.
    • Oversee the SPR prioritization and NPD process to maintain a robust portfolio and ensure competitive offerings.

     

    FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE

    • Deliver the financial performance and P&L for each brand to drive profitable growth across the portfolio. Deliver on the key performance metrics for each brand, including but not limited to gross adds, net gains, churn and EBITDA.
    • Oversee ongoing sales forecasts by brand and partner with sales team on developing channel targets.
    • Create tools and processes to measure and manage scorecards for each brand’s metrics along key dimension include by channel, by product and by service.
    • Oversee the launch of new products and services, ensure financial targets are met.
    • Conduct post-launch retrospectives (product vitality reporting). Diagnose implement and measure countermeasures to ensure commercial success.
    • Conduct ongoing market pricing analysis to realize optimal margins.
    • Lead the executive brand reviews, reporting on financial and program performance; and upcoming programs.

     

    EXECUTION OF BRAND STRATEGIES

    • Direct the execution of brand strategies to deliver on business and customer targets. Partner with marketing-functional areas such as VAS, Customer Marketing, Digital, Commercialization to ensure commercial success.
    • Partner with non-marketing functions such as sales, product development, finance, supply chain, innovation and customer service to secure required business enablers needed for market success.
    • Work with internal and external agency partners on setting the direction on brand strategies and provide insight on commercial execution.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Finance and/or Business Management Required. preferred
    • MBA or Master of Science in a business-related discipline required.
    • 15 years of experience in the development of revenue generating strategies, brand management, launching major initiatives, marketing strategy and/or business unit general management, preferably at a Fortune 500 company.
    • 10 years of product management experience with a minimum of 5 years at a Director or VP-level preferably in B2C, consumer durable goods, technology or telecommunications industries.
    • 5 – 10 years of P&L experience; minimum of $1B in B2C or minimum of $350M in B2B.

  • Qualifications

    REQURIED EDUCATION

    • Master's Degree in one of several related degrees listed below. 

    • Also allowed, a Master's degree in any field, plus 18 graduate credits in one of the related degrees listed below.

    RELATED DEGREES:  English (any; for example, English, English Composition, English Education, English as a Second Language), Developmental Education, Writing, Creative Writing, Literature (any), Rhetoric, Composition, Communication, Journalism, Technical Writing, Reading, Linguistics, Literacy, Teaching Writing, Teaching Reading, Teaching English as a Second Language (e.g. ELL, ESL, TESOL, TOEFL, etc.), Adult Education, Liberal Studies, Liberal Arts.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • At least one year of experience teaching Developmental Reading/Writing to adult learners in a college or community education setting.
