We are hiring FORKLIFT OPERATORS to join our growing production team at LIBERTY PACKAGING! Forklift Operators are in charge of fulfilling shipments for our customers, receiving incoming inventory and handling material for all departments in the plant. At LIBERTY PACKAGING we offer a competitive starting wage and a full benefits package which includes 3 WEEK PAID TIME OFF, ATTENDANCE INCENTIVES AND MORE!

This full-time position is located at Liberty Packaging’s manufacturing plant in Rock Island, Illinois.

2ND SHIFT HOURS: Monday - Friday (2:00pm - 10:00pm)

3RD SHIFT HOURS: Sunday evening - Friday morning (10:00pm - 6:00am)

Required Skills

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Move and load product from production lines to the warehouse and production facility
• Store and retrieve product from locations in the plant
• Load trucks for daily shipments
• Work in a manner that emphasizes safety of self and others by following all work safety policies, programs and guidelines
• Monitor and maintain material/product quality
• Operate simple machinery and hand tools

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
• Mobile equipment certified or willing to become certified
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to follow demonstrated or written work instructions such as machine-related operations, capabilities, light maintenance and safety requirements
• Ability to read work instructions (i.e. SOP’s, Specs, etc.)
• Ability to withstand continuous sitting; occasional pushing, pulling, bending and/or stooping; and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
