    Position Summary

    The National Account Manager reports to the North America National Sales Manager for the Mezzanine Systems Division. The National Account Manager is responsible for proactively managing and growing strategic customer accounts at a national level, maximizing all opportunities for sales within the accounts.

    Required Skills

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

     

    • Represent MiTek Mezzanine System Division in a professional demeanor and maintain a solid working rapport/relationship throughout the account organizations including Corporate, Regional and Local personnel.
    • Look for new/innovative ways to go to market – new products, new tactics, etc. 
    • Help to establish annual sales targets, with emphasis on monthly review of performance against projections, while forecasting future expectations for sales activity. 
    • Manage large company accounts for the company and building relationships with key personnel, including relevant decision makers.
    • Network within national accounts in order to secure the best opportunities for our business.
    • Ensure internal company functions give the highest level of customer service to national accounts.
    • Respond to requests for proposals with appropriate quotes and proposals. Develop proposals with own skills and assistance of team. Manage pipeline of proposals to meet customer and internal schedules. Monitor incoming orders and ensure these are fulfilled effectively. Some project management and high communication internally and externally are necessary after receipt of orders.
    • Hold regular meetings with internal stakeholders about key accounts.
    • Investigate and resolve queries and issues raised by national accounts.
    • Continue professional growth and development through trade associations, trade shows, strategic partnerships and continuing education. 
    • Any other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Required Experience

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    EDUCATION:

     

    Required bachelor’s degree (four-year college or technical school) in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field.

    EXPERIENCE:

     

    Previous experience managing national accounts for a project-based manufacturing company that sells through distribution or secondary channels.

     

    Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of growing business within large accounts.

     

    Proven track record of working to KPI’s and achieving targets

     

    Demonstrated ability to drive sales, preferably 5-7 years sales experience. 

     

    Sandler or Wilson Learning, or equivalent, sales training experience preferred.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

     

    Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and ERP software knowledge

     

    Web-enabled applications and basic AutoCAD Systems

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.

     

    Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.

     

    Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
