GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Supervise a shift in a designated area of a major cooler under direct supervision. Ability to be self-directing, willing to learn and contribute to creative problem solving. Must be a current high performer with a proven track record of punctuality and attendance.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Ability to direct the workforce and enforce safety measures and looking out for potential hazards.
• Ensure product is loaded, shipped, picked, and cooled in a timely manner.
• Must be able to interact well with co-workers, understand and follow procedures and to accept constructive criticism.
• Able to be responsible for and enforce daily tasks for dispatching, picking, loading, and receiving.
• Knowledge of the different areas of the operation (shipping, receiving/cooling, and picking).
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

** JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:**

• 2 years of supervisory experience
• English skills required, bilingual preferred.
• Mathematical skills and logical thought process required.
• Ability to communicate with people a must.
• Prioritize orders, use of 10-key calculator and computer experience required.

PHYSIC _ AL REQUIREMENTS:_

• Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, and 20 lbs overhead as job demands. Will have some exposure to fumes and airborne particles. Sometime will be spent in a refrigerated (cold) and loud (ear protection required) work environment. (Notification required due to the Americans with Disabilities Act).

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexibility to work varied hours is required.
• Must be willing to travel.

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Must have the ability to be present at work on time, follow directions, instruct subordinates, interact well with co-workers.
• High School diploma or GED equivalency preferred.

PAY RATE:

$23.53
