  • Responsibilities

    Responsibilities (will include but are not limited to the following)

    Deliver product from distribution center to customer accounts

    Stock product in each customer account and properly maintain their stock/back room

    Ensure product freshness standards through proper rotation of products (regardless of its location)

    Timely pick up Out-of-Date products

    Ensure all customers' shelves (hot or cold) and displays are filled properly

    Ensure appropriate shelf tags are utilized and shelf set diagram is being followed by competitors; do not loose shelf space, gain it, where possible

    Ensure retail account procedures are followed as applicable

    Maintain good customer relationships

    Operate current hand-held computer to generate and update invoices

    Collect money and signatures from the customer

    Ensure even distribution of loads between accounts to help prevent product damage

    Complete check-up process as directed by company

    Maintain proper daily records as outlined by federal DOT regulations (pre- and post-trip reports)

    Maintain acceptable driving standards as set by the company

    Update supervisor of any needs, concerns or issues regarding the ability to perform assigned duties

    Assist in merchandising activities including, but not limited to, building displays, facing labels, hanging point of sale materials

    Maintain a clean and orderly delivery vehicle, both cab and trailer

    Report to work in a neat and clean uniform at scheduled work time

    Follow Company policies

    Safety awareness and prevention is the duty of all employees. As an employee of Eagle Distributing, it is incumbent of you to think safe, be safe, act safe and be aware of all situations that could put safety in jeopardy to any employee or our customers. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on company vehicles. Follow all traffic laws, ordinances and regulations of Local, State, Federal and Company.

    Qualifications

    Must have a valid Louisiana Class A CDL

    Ability and willingness to work flexible hours

    Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment

    Strong communication skills

    Eagerness to work hard

    Physical requirements include: Repetitive bending, lifting up to 50-70 lbs, pulling/pushing up to 250 pounds on a two-wheeler, hanging point of sale merchandise

    High school diploma or GED certificate required
