    WESTWOOD PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC. is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our team in our Minneapolis, MN office.  This position will be responsible for installation/configuration, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of software and hardware systems to support Westwood’s Enterprise Technical Infrastructure, ensuring the solutions bring the expected business value and are in alignment with business strategies. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. 

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Installation and configuration of infrastructure hardware and software following developed processes and procedures.
    • Assists with documentation of new processes and procedures and ensures that documentation is accurate and up to date.
    • Monitors vital enterprise systems regularly report status and assist Infrastructure Manager with capacity and demand management planning.
    • Responds to incidents and events in IT Infrastructure and follows established processes to restore service outages.
    • Provides feedback to assist with the design, transition, and operations phases of the service lifecycle.
    • Research new technologies and solutions and leverages business relationships to provide recommendations that maximize value in alignment with business vision.
    • Supports IT Operations function and acts as the escalation point for operations staff.
    • Assist with projects and task coordination.
    • Develops and displays proficiency in technologies utilized by Westwood.

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • College degree preferred, but commensurate experience considered.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating and maintaining solutions utilizing Microsoft Server and Desktop Technologies, Firewall/Router/Switch configurations, ERP System Management and integration, Microsoft Office 365 Management, Public Cloud management including Amazon S3 and Azure, Network Management Systems, SANS, Principals of Cyber Security hygiene, server and desktop virtualization solutions, Database administration, SQL Reporting Services Development, PBX administration.
    • A strong focus on at least 2 of the above technologies is preferred.
    • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Exceptional problem solving and communications skills.
    • Displays initiative and ability to maintain a high level of effectiveness with a minimum of supervision.
    • Familiarity with ITIL best practices preferred.

  • Qualifications
    • Forklift experience is required. Must be able to pass forklift certification.
    • Good oral communications skills. Knowledge in warehouse procedures.
    • Must have known or demonstrated ability to perform all lift operations, including battery changes.
    • Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment.
    • Required to work independently and with limited supervision.
    • Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.
