Job Description
Work hand-in-hand with our customers and sales force to figure out how we can best equip our customers for success. Specific duties include:
Provide technical expertise and support such as material handling equipment, numerical-control machinery, or computer systems for E&M products;
Plan and modify E&M product configurations to meet customer needs;
Prepare and deliver technical presentations about E&M that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers;
Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of products;
Diagnose problems with products and find similar product for replacement for customers;
Arrange for demonstrations or trial installation of products;
Perform product data analytics and data mining to ensure data accuracy of the products being sold;
Identify market trends in products and present finding to clients for future enhancements;
Responsible for business questions and providing client support.
This position works both from the Irvine office and from the road making customer visits in the Southern California area. The weekly amount of out-of-office time is around 35%.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related Engineering field, Information Systems or a related. Must have formal academic training in Automation, Software, Electronics, Optics or related.
Must have the following experience:
Two years of sales or customer service experience.
One year of experience in the use of statistical packages for analyzing datasets to make accurate business decisions.
One year of experience working with the vendor/product approval process (e.g., in safety, sensing and auto ID technologies utilized in manufacturing process).
