    Job Description

    Work hand-in-hand with our customers and sales force to figure out how we can best equip our customers for success. Specific duties include:

    • Provide technical expertise and support such as material handling equipment, numerical-control machinery, or computer systems for E&M products;

    • Plan and modify E&M product configurations to meet customer needs;

    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations about E&M that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers;

    • Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of products;

    • Diagnose problems with products and find similar product for replacement for customers;

    • Arrange for demonstrations or trial installation of products;

    • Perform product data analytics and data mining to ensure data accuracy of the products being sold;

    • Identify market trends in products and present finding to clients for future enhancements;

    • Responsible for business questions and providing client support.

    • This position works both from the Irvine office and from the road making customer visits in the Southern California area. The weekly amount of out-of-office time is around 35%.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related Engineering field, Information Systems or a related. Must have formal academic training in Automation, Software, Electronics, Optics or related.

    Must have the following experience:

    • Two years of sales or customer service experience.

    • One year of experience in the use of statistical packages for analyzing datasets to make accurate business decisions.

    • One year of experience working with the vendor/product approval process (e.g., in safety, sensing and auto ID technologies utilized in manufacturing process).
