The Learning Experience - Ashburn, VA Pay: Starting at $19 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
The Learning Experience - Ashburn is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our Toddler/2-Year-Old classroom.
This is a great opportunity for an educator who loves the busy, curious, increasingly independent toddler years. You'll create a classroom filled with hands-on learning, language development, movement, creativity, and plenty of opportunities for children to practice new skills.
Key Responsibilities
Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom for toddlers and 2-year-olds
Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Plan developmentally appropriate activities through art, music, movement, sensory exploration, language, and play
Support emerging independence, communication, and social-emotional development
Use positive guidance and consistent classroom routines
Support diapering, toileting, meals, and other daily care routines
Observe and document children's development
Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families
Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Follow Virginia licensing and center requirements
Qualifications
Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom experience required
Experience working with toddlers or 2-year-olds strongly preferred
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred, but not required
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Dependable, patient, energetic, and comfortable working as part of a team
Must meet Virginia licensing requirements for the position
