At The Red Barn Child Care Center & Preschool, we don’t settle for “just getting through the day.” We build classrooms that are calm, structured, engaging, and intentionally run. Our families trust us deeply—and we protect that trust through high standards, consistency, and professionalism.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
This role is for someone who understands that great classrooms don’t happen by accident.
You will:
Create and maintain a structured, well-managed classroom environment
Lead children with calm authority, warmth, and consistency
Implement engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences (not just “activities to pass time”)
Maintain active supervision and safety awareness at all times
Communicate professionally with families—clear, respectful, and timely
Work as part of a team that holds each other accountable
What We Expect (Non-Negotiables)
You are reliable—your team can count on you
You are proactive—you don’t wait to be told what to do
You are professional—in how you speak, show up, and handle stress
You can manage a classroom, not just assist in one
You are coachable and open to feedback without defensiveness
You understand that this work is important—and requires effort
This Is NOT For You If…
You are looking for an “easy” job or something low-effort
You frequently call out, show up late, or struggle with consistency
You prefer to be told exactly what to do instead of taking initiative
You get overwhelmed easily in fast-paced environments
You are not open to feedback or growth
You see childcare as babysitting instead of professional work
This IS For You If…
You take pride in running a tight, well-managed classroom
You want to be part of a strong, respected center with high standards
You value structure, teamwork, and doing things the right way
You want to grow as an educator, not stay stagnant
You care deeply about how children are treated and guided
Qualifications
Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to meet all state licensing requirements (background check, physical, drug screening etc.)
CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
What You Can Expect From Us
